What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounting Manager - Gaming position at AtWork?
Accounting Manager Opportunity:
The Accounting Manager directly supervises team members in the Accounting Department.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Responsible for the preparation of daily payroll report, daily hotel audit, and A/P & A/R functions.
• Pays all approved invoices within appropriate vendor timelines.
• Adds new vendors after ensuring all required paperwork is received and approved.
• Ensures sales/use tax is paid or accrued as required.
• Reviews A/P aging reports; acts as a liaison between Accounting department and vendors.
• Reviews vendor statements on a monthly basis to ensure all activity has been recorded.
• Ensures all invoices are recorded in compliance with month-end closing calendar, and prepares journal entries for Controller.
• Oversees all outgoing electronic payments through the banking systems and ensures proper journal entries occur to properly record them in the general ledger.
• Enters wire payments to applicable financial institutions.
• Assists in the preparation of financial statements and balance sheet account reconciliations, along with other reports such as corporate cash report, room tax returns, and others.
• Secure documents for annual audit and other regulatory agencies.
• Performs monthly, quarterly and annual compliance issues.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelors’ Degree in Finance or Accounting-related field strongly preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of previous experience in similar position within the gaming industry.
• Supervisory experience required.
LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS OR REGISTRATIONS:
Requires valid drivers license.
