What are the responsibilities and job description for the SPECIAL EDUCATION PARAPROFESSIONAL position at ATX Learning?
ATX Learning is looking for a Paraprofessional in Closter, NJ. The paraprofessional shall be working with students who require behavioral aid who can also provide academic support.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Assist students in sessions and help to complete work assigned by the teachers.
•Track student progress and create reports for the student support team’s review.
•Understand what the child is accomplishing academically, socially, and emotionally.
•Monitor the student and minimize distractions and disruption.
•Respond to behavior crises, which includes engaging in verbal de-escalation and physical restraint/seclusion in emergency situations
QUALIFICATIONS:
•High School Diploma.
•Prefer candidate to hold a minimum of 48 college credits or successful completion of Para Pro Assessment.
