What are the responsibilities and job description for the AM Baker position at ATY Hospitality?
Job Purpose: Proofing, baking, and finishing the items daily for the bakeries on location prior to opening. This requires the position to begin as early as 1:00 am. Full time, year-round, full- time seasonal that may result in potential year-round status.
Duties & Responsibilities:
· Capable of multitasking and ensures timely production is completed per company standards
· Controls waste by proper rotation of stock and consistent production practices
· Maintains clean workspace and contributes to the overall sanitation of the respective venue.
· Able to load and allocate products to various venues.
· Capable of working in a team atmosphere
· Thorough understanding of natural and chemically leavened products
· Consistent measuring and scaling of ingredients
· Capable of all pre and post bake garnishes for all products
· Thorough understanding of fermentation, and proofing various styles of products
· Capable of consistent baking for all products per the company’s specifications
· Capable of basic custards, curds, ganache’s, pectin-based fillings for various products
· General understanding of quick breads, and cookie dough development
· Capable of displaying products in the retail shops consistently by 7am daily
· setting up the respective bakery with the FOH team.
Shift: Primarily 1am – 9am 5 days a week; with some flexibility to work various shifts and times, including weekends
Physical Requirements:
· Capable of lifting and carrying 50# unassisted
· Demonstrates proper grooming standards per the ATY Handbook
· Stand for long periods of time.
· Use their hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
· Repetitive movements.
· Walk for long periods of time.
Working Environment / Conditions:
Thorough understanding and displays proper commercial sanitation standards
Minimum Level of Education: High School or Associates preferred / Minimum 2 years’ experience
