Essential Functions
This position requires the ability to teach
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: face-to-face advising of students in all matters related to academic and/or curriculum matters pertaining to the Honors College; assisting with and coordinating registration procedures; conducting Camp War Eagle (new student orientation) sessions; evaluating and maintaining student records on a computerized database; teaching Honors Participation Courses; and participating in Honors recruiting efforts. The individual in this position will serve as an Academic Advisor in the Honors College and will report to the Assistant Director of Academic Affairs
The successful candidate will be a dynamic innovative and energetic individual who possesses the vision, enthusiasm, and a strong understanding of the higher education community. It is essential that this candidate fosters a team-player attitude and is willing to interact with internal and external constituents including administration, alumni, parents, students, and faculty. The candidate is also expected to exhibit progress in his/her own professional development.
