Overview

WNEW in New York is looking for a dynamic and fun part time/fill in air talent. We want entertaining!  Do you embrace connecting with your audience everywhere-over the air, social platforms, out in the community and at station events?

The anticipated starting salary range for New York-based individuals expressing interest in this position is $350.00-$400.00 per shift  . 

Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities and location of the applicant, as well as internal and external equity.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do:

• Create original content and performing live broadcasts that are entertaining and informative.
• Participate and create original content for all social media platforms; managing online personality presence
• Protect the station’s FCC license
• Monitor the music and commercial logs for the airshift
• Ensure that promotions and contests are executed properly
• Operate the control board and perform production work
• Make personal appearances at station events and remote broadcasts
• Be available on short notice to fill in and other duties as required by management
• Other duties as required by management

Qualifications

Required & Preferred:

 · Must be an excellent communicator with strong creative skills; and a strong working knowledge of studio audio equipment necessary for on-air execution, including Wide Orbit and Vox Pro.· Knowledge of the format and audience required.· Familiar with FCC guidelines· Excellent on-air voice with demonstrated track record required in media· Minimum 3 years major market morning show experience

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; use hands and fingers to handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
