Junior Financial Analyst - Financial Governance And Compliance

Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Financial Analyst to join our Financial Governance and Compliance team. This role is crucial in ensuring that our financial operations adhere to regulatory requirements and internal policies. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of financial principles, excellent analytical skills, and a commitment to maintaining compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Reporting & Analysis:
• Assist in preparing financial reports and analyses to support compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Monitor and review financial transactions and records to ensure accuracy and adherence to company policies.
• Compliance Monitoring:
• Support the team in conducting internal audits and compliance reviews.
• Help identify potential areas of risk and recommend corrective actions to address compliance issues.
• Regulatory Adherence:
• Stay up-to-date with changes in financial regulations and standards that affect the company.
• Assist in the implementation of policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
• Data Management:
• Maintain and update financial databases and records.
• Assist in preparing documentation and evidence for regulatory audits and inspections.
• Reporting & Documentation:
• Contribute to the preparation of documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
• Support in the creation and maintenance of detailed compliance records.
• Team Collaboration:
• Work closely with senior analysts and other departments to resolve compliance-related issues.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of strategies for improving financial governance.
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 1-2 years of relevant experience in financial analysis, compliance, or a related role (internships or co-op experience acceptable).
• Strong understanding of financial principles, regulations, and compliance standards.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial software applications (e.g., ERP systems).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
