Position Description
Functions as a part of a large and varied healthcare team consisting of physicians, nurses, allied health personnel, and members of the community. Responsibilities include providing direct patient care to a variety of diagnostic categories and supervising rehabilitation technicians, volunteers and students. Caseloads may consist of adult and pediatric inpatients and outpatients. Patient Treatment:Implements treatment utilizing appropriate protocols, media, methods and/or approaches following the review of the evaluation results, goals, and treatment plan with the therapist. Documents treatment plan according to department policy and bills for services. Terminates treatment when anticipated goals and expected outcomes have been achieved or when contraindicated, potentially harmful or patient is not benefiting the patient.
Position Requirements
Associates Degree in Physical Therapy. 1 year of experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant. Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS). Georgia State Licensure.
