Summer Camp Counselor

Overview:
We are seeking enthusiastic and responsible individuals to join our team as Camp Counselors. As a Camp Counselor, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of children and create memorable experiences in a fun and safe camp environment.

Duties:
- Supervise and engage with campers during daily activities, ensuring their safety and well-being

-Supervise their age group on one field trip a week.
- Plan and lead age-appropriate games, crafts, and recreational activities
- Assist in organizing and implementing camp programs and special events
- Provide guidance and support to campers in developing social skills, teamwork, and character building
- Maintain a positive and inclusive camp environment for all participants

-Lead discussions on biblical devotions given by the camp director.
- Communicate effectively with camp staff, parents, and guardians regarding camper progress and concerns
- Follow camp policies and procedures to ensure the safety of all participants

Experience:
- Experience working with children in a camp setting, daycare, classroom, or similar environment
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques and strategies
- Sports coaching or special education experience is a plus
- Ability to provide Christian counseling is preferred but not required
- Babysitting or childcare experience is beneficial

Skills:
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with children, parents, and staff members
- Strong organizational skills to plan and coordinate camp activities
- Ability to adapt to changing situations and handle unexpected challenges
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to provide positive reinforcement
- Leadership qualities to guide and inspire campers

Pay: $12.50 - $13.50 per hour

Experience:

• Childcare: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• First Aid Certification (Preferred)
• CPR Certification (Preferred)
