Required Qualifications

- Analytical ability to troubleshoot and address editorial and technical issues.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; knowledgeable in Adobe Photoshop and Acrobat.
- Ability to work well independently.
- Working under general guidance and supervision, the incumbent facilitates prepress production workflows which primarily include processing new and revised submissions and managing editor decision letters.
- The Editorial Assistant works collaboratively with authors, reviewers, and other JPD stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
Responsibilities
- Working in Editorial Manager (EM) to facilitate the peer review process ensuring that new submissions and revisions are accurately and efficiently moved through the submission process. Ensuring that all legal and ethical requirements related to the journal are met, figures meet JPD requirements, and documents are correctly formatted.
- Provide editor-in-chief comprehensive information in weekly report and on demand.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by editorial manager.
