NURSING SUMMARY/ PURPOSE OF POSITION
The CVOR Clinical Unit Director is a professional whose primary responsibility is to provide supervision and leadership to a specified clinical unit(s).
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree required and Master’s degree preferred;
- Current, valid unencumbered license.
- Advanced educational and experiential qualifications with consideration of the following:
- Minimum of 3-5 years clinical experience;
- Understanding of the organization’s scope and complexity and the position’s responsibility;
- Knowledge of the scope and complexity of the patient care needs of the major populations served, as well as the culturally diverse and special needs of the population;
- Certification – required for those meeting certifying agency eligibility requirements preferred.
- Maintain membership in a professional organization required.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
- 8 hour on-site work day
- 24/7 responsibility for unit/department(s).
- On call rotation required.
- Flexes time to interact with colleagues on off hours/shifts.
- Subject to frequent interruptions and changes in priority of duties throughout the day.

Entity/Department/Position Specific Addendum
DEPARTMENT SUMMARY: The Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) and Hybrid Operating Room (Hybrid OR) reside within the Aultman Deuble Heart & Vascular Hospital. All cardiac, thoracic, structural heart, vascular open and percutaneous cases are performed within this department. There are four (4) CVOR rooms and one Hybrid OR room, located on the 2nd floor of the Bedford Building. This dynamic department is a 24/7/365 department. Surgical/procedural cases are scheduled during daytime hours, but the department and staff are available for emergencies 24/7/365. This role will lead a highly skilled team and collaborate with colleagues across the Aultman Health System.
