Aureus Group has partnered with a renowned health organization in Peru, IL to find a Contract Accountant. The Contract Accountant will primarily be responsible for utilizing accounting practices and related accounting software in performing various accounting tasks to assist the Controller with all day-to-day coordination and operation of the department. Peru, Illinois.
As the Contract Accountant, your key responsibilities will include:
- Prepares daily bank account deposits.
- Prepares monthly statistical and administrator control reports.
- Reconciles all purchase card transactions.
- Receipt monies from all departments and subsidiaries of the hospital.
- Records all daily ACH transactions.
- Reconciles all monthly bank statements.
- Maintains cash receipts and disbursements spreadsheet.
- Cross-trained in Accounts Payable and Payroll Clerk duties to help assist in case of absence.

Requirements that the Contract Accountant needs to meet:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 3-5 years of accounting experience preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel.
