What are the responsibilities and job description for the System Administrator 2 position at Auria?
Auria is actively seeking an experienced System Administrator 2 with experience in configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting cross-domain systems. The successful candidate will work within a cross-functional team to provide hands-on experience designing, installing, configuring, monitoring and maintaining enterprise systems. The SA must have a team-oriented and customer-focused attitude. Work location is Kirtland Air Force Base, Albuquerque, NM.
Primary responsibilities may include:
- Supporting the execution of security measures called out in the security plan to include timely scans of network resources and software patches.
- Providing effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of production Linux Servers in a VMWare Virtualized Environment.
- Applying DISA STIG compliance controls to secure systems.
- Supporting daily system monitoring, security, server health, resources and log management of Linux and Windows systems.
- Troubleshooting and performing root cause analysis. This includes troubleshooting any and all issues with system configurations, backups, files systems, and user access.
- Supporting RHEL platforms hosting applications, operations and sustainment systems, and ACAS and other security tools
- Interfacing with engineers, systems engineers, and subject matter experts in the performance of your duties
- Troubleshooting hardware, networking and software problems in multi-node environment
- Acting as on-call support for network issues and data transmittal issues
- Maintaining software documentation and updates
- Working with a highly technical team to perform evaluation tests
Required Experience
- A Bachelors degree in Computer Engineering from an accredited college or university and 2 years or more relevant experience; a Masters degree and 0 years or more experience
- Active Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility and able to obtain and maintain TS/SCI. Must be able to obtain within 3 months of start and maintain TS/SCI with program read in
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field and two or more years of relevant experience. Can substitute 4 years of IT experience in lieu of degree
- One year or more experience with Linux/UNIX system administration
- DOD 8570 Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II certification required (such as CCNA Security , CySA , GICSP, GSEC, Security , CND, or SSCPy)
Desired Experience
- Working knowledge of virtualization, VMWare, remote desktop, remote computer management or equivalent
- Familiarity with Palo Alto firewalls, Cisco routers and switches, WireShark, and CommVault
- Strong customer communication skills
Salary Range: $67K - $90K
