What are the responsibilities and job description for the WAN Engineer SME position at Auria?
Auria is looking to hire a Senior DevOps Engineer (WAN Engineer SME) to join our Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program. This position will be based in Colorado Springs, CO.
The candidate will be responsible for helping junior engineers with tasks if needed. The candidate plans, deploys, integrates, and tests upgrades to the C2BMC network and operational sites. The candidate is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing all WANs for their project.
Minimum Qualifications

- An active Secret clearance is required to start with the ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance.
- 9 years with a Bachelors degree in a related field; 13 years experience in lieu of a degree.
- Must possess a DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher (Security , GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA)
- Must have Network Development experience developing, testing, and deploying new and upgraded capabilities.
- Must have experience and knowledge of IPSEC, Multicast PIM DM, MPLS, QOS, GRE tunnels, multiarea OSPF, and BGP traffic engineering.
- Must have experience with the Juniper SRX firewall.
- Must be an effective communicator with excellent writing and presentation skills using Microsoft PowerPoint and Visio drawing tools.
- Must be able to work collaboratively in a team environment with other highly motivated network engineers and independently on large field projects.
- Must have proven troubleshooting expertise.
- Must have experience planning and supporting the deployment of network infrastructure.
- Must be able to travel to remote locations to lead and perform network installations, independently perform troubleshooting, and provide status updates to Program personnel.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Active TS/SCI clearance is highly desired.
- Prior C2BMC experience is desired.
Salary Range: The salary offered will be based on the selected candidates qualifications - skills, education & experience - and the position level ($123,00 - $137,000).
