Controller

Responsible for managing the finance and accounting department. The Controller will provide information, primarily financial in nature, about all company activities that will assist management in making educated economic decisions.

• Salary $100,000 - $150,000
• Compensation may vary based on factors such as experience and qualifications. Ranges and rates may take into consideration benefits, bonus, and other factors. Please reach out to our human resources director for additional information.

Essential Functions:

• Report financials, maintain ledger.
• Establish accounting processes.
• Supervise Finance department for accuracy and timeliness.
• Record investments, depreciation, close monthly.
• Assist CFO with budgets, reviews, audits.
• Implement systems for integrity and data.
• Represent company professionally.
• Develop personnel through oversight and training.

Day in the Life

A typical day would start by arriving at the office and addressing any outstanding emails. You would then dive into preparing the monthly reports for ownership. Later in the day, you would sit with the CFO to review the finance department metrics highlighting if there are any exceeding or falling below the benchmarks and reviewing the quarterly goals of the department. Lastly, you would meet with your team to address any specific issues that may have arisen during the day and make sure that the goals discussed earlier are clear and moving forward within the time frame established.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
• 5-10 years of hands-on accounting managerial experience
• Excellent computer skills

Preferred Education & Experience:

• MBA
• Experience in training others in the use of accounting software.

Full Time, Exempt:

Monday – Friday 8-5pm

(Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand)
