What are the responsibilities and job description for the Material Handler position at Aurora Organic Dairy Corp.?
Available Position: 1; Blue Nights; 12-hour shift (6p-6a); Set, rotating schedule
Purpose:
The material handler is responsible for the efficient and effective receiving and shipping of finished product. This position will also be responsible for receiving and supporting of dry goods materials needed in the production lines. This position will also be responsible for tempering and filling the preforms.
Essential Responsibilities:
· All plant personnel have the responsibility to monitor and report any deviations from our Food Safety and Food Quality (HACCP & SQF) programs to your
immediate supervisor.
- Monitor and report any safety outages and improvement ideas
- Retrieve pallets of milk from the conveyors and confirm pallet labeling integrity, for accurate information.
- Load trucks with appropriate customer product derived from an order form and Bill of Lading, dispatched from the ASRS crane system.
- Scan all pallets into WMS, track packaged milk in cold storage, shuttle trucks and direct ship and maintain all required logs and documentation.
- Support palletizing and labeling areas, as well as monitor product integrity to determine and reject compromised product conditions.
- Receive in dry goods materials in computer, label pallets, and accurately store these items ensuring lot traceability
- Ensure accurate inventory counts by use of cycle count process
- Pick and stage inventory for production runs
- Monitor and fill the preforms
- Maintain proper housekeeping
Knowledge & Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Previous fork lift experience required.
- Detail oriented team member with a strong work ethic and the ability to handle multiple tasks.
- Have ability to pass Fork Lift certification.
