What are the responsibilities and job description for the Time Keeper - Austin Industrial (T/A) position at Austin External?
Austin Industrial is a leading General Contractor that provides construction, maintenance, turnaround and plant services within the oil, gas, chemical, power, and manufacturing industries. We are currently seeking an experienced Time Keeper.
Duties
- Administer and prepare weekly payroll and verify time reports to ensure accuracy.
- Prepare controls and merge with other data required for preparation of payroll.
- Prepare control documents for use in reconciling one or more of the following: payroll, payables, and receivables transactions.
- Prepare the preparation of pay estimates, cost reports, etc.
- Assist with new employee sign up's, basic personnel administration activities, and general administration.
- Assist with preparation of daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual closing statements, reports and invoices.
- Assist with monitoring subcontractor cost and issuance of back charges.
- Perform additional assignments per supervisor’s direction.
- Distribute payroll.
- Train new payroll employees.
Requirements
- Must have strong experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and Outlook. Viewpoint knowledge a plus.
- Candidate should have 4 years direct experience in a Timekeeping role with payroll.
- Must have good communication skills and time management skills.
- Experience in an industrial environment preferred.
- Must pass drug screen.
