What are the responsibilities and job description for the Videographer position at Austin FC?
Austin FC joined Major League Soccer (MLS) as the 27th club in January 2019. Austin FC officially began competing in MLS in April 2021 and played its first match at home on June 19, 2021, in the new, 100% privately financed, state-of-the-art Q2 Stadium in Austin. Austin FC finished the regular season 2nd in the Western Conference, while also making a run to the Western Conference Finals during the 2022 MLS Cup Playoffs.
Austin FC is seeking a proven, driven, and motivated Videographer who will join Austin FC’s content team. In this role, you will be working as part of a team executing the Club’s video content published across our social, in-stadium, and broadcast platforms.
The position is based in Austin, TX and will be in-person out of Austin FC’s main office and St. David’s Performance Center for work projects.

You Will:
- Work with a team of videographers, photographers and social media personnel to develop brand-relevant video content for Austin FC and Austin FC II; and
- Develop video content to be published through Austin FC and Austin FC II’s social handles; and
- Create video content for Austin FC’s presence on MLS Season Pass; and
- Conduct interviews with players and community members in both English and Spanish; and
- Support video content to be leveraged as part of the match run of show at Q2 Stadium; and
- Translate audio from Spanish to English for captions in both long-form and short-form content pieces; and
- Capture content covering community impact and corporate partnerships events and create recap videos for activations held by 4ATX Foundation; and
- Continuously search for new content opportunities to drive fan engagement and deliver value for sponsors; and
- Review the performance of video content across Austin FC digital channels, and recommend improvements based on monitoring data and audience sentiment on an ongoing basis; and
- Seamlessly integrate Austin FC partners and Austin FC sales messaging (e.g., merchandise) into Club video content; and
- Generally, support Austin FC’s content creation and content commercialization initiatives.
You Have:
- Ability to think creatively, using inspiration inside and outside the soccer world
- Experience ideating, producing, editing and publishing world-class video content
- High proficiency with video production equipment, animation and editing tools, including Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Davinci Resolve, Kyno, and a working knowledge of Photoshop and Illustrator
- Experience working with Sony Cinema cameras
- English and Spanish language proficiency
- An outstanding work ethic and attention to detail
- 2 years of experience in video production; past experience in sports and/or entertainment a plus
- Bachelor’s Degree
