As a Hardware and Industrial Sourcing Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless execution of our sourcing efforts, enabling us to meet the diverse needs of our clientele efficiently and effectively.
Job Duties: As a Hardware and Industrial Sourcing Specialist, you will:
- Support sourcing efforts for new sales opportunities, collaborating closely with the sales team.
- Ensure the timely completion of multiple quote packages by working in tandem with sales.
- Review prints, specification requirements, and cross-reference products to deliver precise solutions.
- Identify new potential supplier partners to expand our network.
- Explore alternate sources and product solutions in alignment with business objectives.
- Conduct research to find alternative solutions supporting project objectives such as lead time reduction, enhanced functionality, and cost savings.
- Maintain and update the sourcing guide to streamline processes and ensure accuracy.
- Provide support for sales and VMI initiatives related to hardware and industrial sourcing for quoting efforts.
- Cultivate and nurture relationships with both existing and potential suppliers to foster partnerships.
- Lead and report on quote log efforts to track progress and ensure accountability.
- Undertake additional sourcing and non-sourcing tasks as required, including sourcing products that haven’t been sold before.
Minimum Requirements:
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 5-7 years of experience in sourcing industrial supplies.
- Proficiency in reading spec sheets.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, reading prints, specifications, and sourcing products using various mediums.
Licenses/Certificates/Registrations:
- Ability to safely use standard office equipment.
Essential General Abilities:
- Accurate completion of administrative forms and reports in a timely manner.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Adherence to rules, regulations, and procedures.
- Application of common sense understanding to carry out instructions.
- Effective communication skills.
- Sound judgment in evaluating situations and making decisions.
- Maintenance of quality and quantity work standards.
- Commitment to conducting all dealings with the highest ethical standards and moral integrity.
