What are the responsibilities and job description for the Facilities Maintenance Technician - Austin Industrial position at Austin Industrial?
Will perform various facility maintenance tasks in an industrial setting. Will operate a variety of hand and power tools to accomplish assigned jobs to complete corrective and preventative maintenance supporting a large production environment. Operate forklift, scissor lift, and aerial lifts. Previous facility maintenance experience in an industrial setting a plus.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform assigned work orders with minimal supervision.
- Maintain a clean job site: pick up all tools and equipment and secure job site each day in order to eliminate potential hazards.
- Knowledge of basic facility maintenance practices to include electrical, mechanical and plumbing.
- Ensure that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed. Bring problems to the attention of the Foreman or Safety personnel.
- Knowledge of proper use of equipment, materials and supplies used in an industrial setting.
- Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule.
- Ability to lift heavy objects, walk and stand for long periods of time and perform strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions.
- Ability to communicate orally and in writing.
- Ability to use equipment and tools properly and safely.
- Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions.
- Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Required for this Position:
Education – no minimum education requirements.
Experience – 6 months experience in an Industrial setting preferred.
Must pass drug screen and background check.
No per diem and no relocation funding.
