What are the responsibilities and job description for the Recycle Helper/Laborer - Austin Industrial position at Austin Industrial?
Austin Industrial, Inc. - We are currently seeking a RECYCLE HELPER/LABORER to be based in IRON STATION, NC.
Duties:
Use Fastenal truck to get boxes and put in wood yard
Keep pallets in the Complex and empty cardboard bin, as needed
Empty plastic in bins, that are at the trash compacter, and take empty metal bins
Check trash compactor; when you see it in the window and notify the contact person
Stack two bales of CB outside when it reaches the yellow line, notify contact to call the recycle company
Put four double stack Gaylord boxes (recycle paper, plastic, cans, etc.) on truck first and fill truck with double stack cardboard bales
Fill two wood trailers with wood boxes and bad pallets; when they are full, call contact to call recycle company.
Band wood and put on the wood truck
When you get 5 Gaylord boxes of poly tape, call contact to call recycle company.
Pick up scrap metal hoppers and take them to the steel yard.
Crush cardboard in metal bins and take the bins outside, break down the cardboard boxes and put in baler
Empty the trash dumpster twice a day
Assist the Shipping Department by picking up and returning barrels of wood, when requested, and put on the wood trucks
Crush all cardboard, as needed Pick up janitorial supplies and other duties as required
Qualifications Required for this Position:
Education – no minimum education requirements.
Experience – 6 months experience in an Industrial setting preferred.
Must pass drug screen and background check.
