The Autism Center of Sauk Valley provides comprehensive Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy across Sterling, Rock Falls, Dixon, and surrounding areas including direct, one-to-one therapy services, in-depth caregiver training, and consultation services. ABA therapy is a data-driven, evidence-based treatment that is effective in improving social, communication, and adaptive skills while reducing problem behaviors. Role Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Insurance Specialist to join our team Monday through Friday from 9:30AM to 6PM. As an Insurance Specialist, you will play a crucial role in managing insurance claims, denials, and preauthorizations, ensuring timely payments, credentialing, and maintaining accurate records. Additionally, you will be responsible for administrative support including invoicing and running payroll.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process insurance claims, denials, and preauthorizations efficiently and accurately
- Communicate with insurance companies to resolve claim issues and ensure timely payments
- Prepare and send invoices to clients, tracking payments, and following up on overdue accounts
- Run payroll and maintain accurate payroll records
- Provide administrative support to the team, including filling in for breaks as required
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of insurance policies, regulations, and procedures
- Collaborate with colleagues to streamline insurance-related processes and improve efficiency
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in insurance claims processing and healthcare billing
- Strong understanding of insurance policies and medical terminology
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping
- Ability to communicate effectively with insurance companies, clients, and team members
- Willingness to become a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) within a specified timeframe
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and fill in for breaks as needed
