What are the responsibilities and job description for the Behavior Technician position at Autism Prime Therapies?
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is an empirically validated, one-on-one therapy that utilizes research-based techniques to increase desired behaviors and reduce behaviors considered undesired that negatively affect social life and interfere with effective learning.
POSITION SUMMARY:
What you will do: Behavior Therapists are trained to implement 1:1 behavioral intervention programs to children in their homes, our learning center, community settings and serve as instructional shadows at their after-school school programs. Initially, Therapists participate in a training program that provides instruction on Applied Behavior Analysis, discrete trial teaching techniques, management of maladaptive behaviors, social skills development, and data collection techniques applicable to our client population. Training opportunities continue throughout employment as our Therapists receive on-going supervision from professional clinicians at Autism Prime Therapies for each client with whom they work.
We have both full time and part-time positions open with flexible schedules to fit your preferences.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to use computers and mobile devices to read and write
- Effective time management skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks at one time.
- Ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with clients, co-workers, supervisors, and community members.
- Ability to adhere to organizational policies and procedures and abide by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) code of ethics.

- Commitment to ongoing training and development as it relates to clinical skills, professional development, ethics, technology, and training to perform job responsibilities.
- Must maintain a professional appearance with regard to clothing, grooming, hair, and make-up.
BASIC & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be willing to undergo and pass a criminal history record check(CORI)
- Ability to sit on the floor or stand for extended periods of time and make quick body movements including turns.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Must have current and ongoing auto insurance in good standing.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds..

EDUCATION:
- Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent
- No experience needed- Training provided
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Education, Psychology, Speech and Language, Occupational Therapist or related field.
PAY/WAGE RATE:
- $20-$30.00 per hour for direct services based on education and experience.
