GL Accountant

Auto-Chlor System is now hiring a General Ledger Accountant in Mountain View, CA. This position is full-time, in office.

What you'll get to do: 

• Prepare period end financials by creating required G/L entries and accruals.
• Prepare Balance Sheet and P&L fluctuation analyses and investigate any variances.
• Support multiples branches by providing financial insights and relevant reporting.
• Prepare multi jurisdiction sales and use tax returns, perform tax table maintenance.
• Assist with review and costing of physical inventory, reconcile variance in cost of goods sold to inventory count.
• Maintain fixed asset system, update for acquisitions and disposals, calculate depreciation expense.
• Assist with annual budget process.
• Other responsibilities as assigned.
• Mentor junior staff, assign duties as needed.

Position requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred.
• Must have at least 3 years of general ledger experience.
• Proficiency with MS Excel including v-lookup and pivot tables.
• GP/Dynamics experience preferred.
• Ability to make sound judgements and solve problems.
• Basic understanding of cost accounting principals.
