Job Description We offer a merit-based work-from-home program based on job responsibilities. After initial training in-person, this specific role could have the flexibility to work from home up to 3 days per week. Auto-Owners Insurance, a top-rated insurance carrier, is seeking an experienced and motivated Attorney to join our team. The position requires the following, but is not limited to: Review of claims and insurance policies to determine coverage, liability and damage issues. Review of assigned claim files to insure that the Company meets all obligations and responsibilities to insureds, third parties, regulatory authorities and the courts. Review of outside counsel activities to insure that the Company and its insureds receive competent representation, services that are necessary and at a reasonable cost. Provide advice and counsel with regard to other general corporate matters. Skills & Experience A law degree and license to practice law. Previous legal experience preferred, especially in the area of tort or insurance law. Ability to exercise excellent legal, analytical and comprehension skills. An ability to use written and verbal communication skills in providing legal advice, counsel and services for the Company. Ability to work effectively with associates at all levels is essential.
