We are seeking a skilled and experienced Service Writer to join our team. The Service Writer will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, accurately documenting vehicle issues, and coordinating repairs with our automotive technicians. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical knowledge and a passion for the automotive industry.
```Responsibilities```
- Greet customers and provide excellent customer service
- Document customer concerns and accurately record vehicle issues
- Communicate with technicians to ensure accurate diagnosis and repair of vehicles
- Provide estimates for repairs and obtain customer approval
- Coordinate with parts department to ensure timely delivery of necessary parts
- Keep customers informed of the status of their vehicle repairs
- Maintain organized and accurate records of all service transactions
```Experience```
The ideal candidate should have the following experience:
- Previous experience as a Service Writer or in a similar role within the automotive industry
- Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair processes
- Familiarity with automotive systems such as shocks, struts, transmissions, brakes, etc.
- Experience with Quickbooks and Shopkey is a plus

The successful candidate should possess the following skills:
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in computer systems and software used for documenting service transactions
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $25.00 per hour
Day range:
- Monday to Friday
Shift:
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
Ability to Relocate:
- Ansonia, CT 06401: Relocate before starting work (Required)
