Job Summary:
As an Outside Sales Representative, you will have the opportunity to showcase your ability to call on and provide service to various customers of the store. These customers may be Wholesale or otherwise. The store Outside Sales Representative is also responsible for assisting in promoting and advancing company marketing/sales programs as appropriate and requested. This position is also responsible for developing and creating new opportunities for sales through cold calls of new customers and accounts. Pay is commensurate with experience with a base pay plan structure and incentive eligibility.
Job Responsibilities:
· Call on customers per the schedule/strategy created with the Store Manager or other members of the management team
· Serve retail and wholesale customers to make Auto Value the first call parts source
· Maintain awareness and knowledge of current sales and sales targets
· Conduct sales transactions with adherence to store/company policies and procedures
· Complete all related reports accurately and on time
· Participate in training programs, learning about our products, our programs and our customers
· Represent Auto Value in a professional and positive manner
· Assist other store team members as needed
Job Qualifications/Requirements:
· Above average verbal and written communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate with employees at all levels of the company as well as customers, vendors and visitors
· Ability to function in a stressful environment, under substantial time pressure
· Strong organizational skills
· Knowledge of desktop computer programs, including Microsoft Word and Excel
· Minimum of three to five years of related experience and have a thorough knowledge of the auto parts business and sales approaches
· Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
