We are a distribution company serving the Midwest states of Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan and Ohio headquartered in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Auto-Wares has been providing the complete parts needs for service dealers and the motoring public since 1976.
Our LaFayette Auto Supply DC accounting department is currently seeking a person for a Full-Time local Accounting Clerk position.
General Description
The Accounting Clerk is responsible for providing support to the Accounting department, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and General Accounting. Perform accounting duties requiring knowledge of general accounting procedures.
Principal Duties and Accountabilities include, but not limited to:
- Match vendor invoices with receiving documents and purchase orders
- Reconcile daily deposits for stores
- Prepare bank reconciliations
- Apply customer payments received
- Answer questions by customers about invoice billings
- Support the Accounting department
- Other duties as assigned
Position Requirements
- Excellent attendance, working 5 days a week, hours may vary
- STRONG attention to detail/accurate work
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Familiar with commonly used concepts, practices and procedures within the accounting field
- Ability to prioritize work
- Ability to multitask
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Computer literate, proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software
