Our shipping department is seeking an International Shipping Coordinator to coordinate and schedule international shipments. The ideal candidate is responsible for preparing shipping documents, tracking orders through the shop, scheduling trucks for pickup, creating the Bill of Ladings and work with carriers to prepare for international shipping.
Qualifications
- Core skills in distribution center operations, warehouse management, shipping & receiving, and order fulfillment.
- Proficiency in premium skills such as forklift operation and warehouse management systems.
- Relevant experience in stocking, reach truck operation, e-commerce logistics, packaging, order picking, RF scanner use, basic math, pallet jack handling, and picking & packing processes.
1.0 Overview
Automated Conveyor Systems (“ACS”) has built a powerful reputation for designing, building, installing, and servicing modular conveyor systems for the corrugated paper and box industry. ACS has been locally owned and operated since 1975. The Shipper is responsible for assisting with all shipping duties.
1.1 Job Description
Under general supervision of ACS corporate management, specifically reporting to the Shipping Lead. The International & Domestic Shipping Coordinator oversees inbound and outbound shipments for transportation from ACS.
2.0 Duties and Responsibilities
· Determine method of shipment, utilizing knowledge of procedures, routes, and rates.
· Prepare all necessary documents and communicate pre-shipment details.
· Conduct shipments per ACS SOPs and all regulatory requirements.
· Ensure all necessary shipping documents are prepared and attached to each package.
· Maintain accurate records of outgoing shipments in compliance with company policies.
· Inspect and report on any signs of damage or discrepancies in shipment materials.
· Maintain safety standards, and good housekeeping practices.
· Understanding inventory management, methods, and supply chain logistics.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
3.0 Education and Experience
· Experience working in large equipment manufacturing and assembly environment required.
· Must have shipping and logistics experience (3 years preferred).
· Previous experience with freight forwarders.
- High school diploma or equivalent.

5.0 Work Environment

· Must be able to stand / walk 10 hrs. a day.
· Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Capability of operating equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and overhead cranes
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
