Assistant Terminal Manager

In this role, you will play a crucial part in managing staff, strategic planning, and achieving production-related business objectives. The Assistant Terminal Manager will collaborate with the Terminal Manager to oversee the daily operations, ensuring clear communication of policies, proposing innovative policies and procedures, planning resource utilization, meeting production targets, and prioritizing health and safety.

Responsibilities include developing labor plans, managing terminal fluidity, and achieving organizational goals. Your role encompasses leadership, conflict management, and fostering a positive relationship between the Company and the Union and is accountable for achieving organizational and corporate goals, reviewing production reports for productivity measurement, conducting personnel processes related to training and onboarding.

Qualifications and Requirements:

To succeed in this role, the successful candidate should have:

• Demonstrated ability to build and lead teams of all demographics and skill levels
• Experience in leading in a unionized environment is an asset.
• Minimum of five (5) years of related experience, with at least three (3) years in a leadership/supervisory role.
• Completion of related post-secondary education.
• Inclusive and professional oral and written communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record.
• Knowledge of the automotive industry is an asset.
• Consideration will be given to a combination of education and experience.
