Distribution Center Supervisor

As a DC Supervisor, you will be part of an organization that cares about people and helps our teams succeed. In this role, you will work as a key team member in a fast-paced, high volume, automotive retailer distribution center. We have multiple shifts that work hard to ensure our retail stores have products on hand to serve our customers. The DC Supervisor is a first line manager supporting activities of an assigned area (Inbound, Outbound, Returns/Recalls). You will directly manage a team of up to 40 people. You will assign and direct the work of your team as well as address and resolve operational problems to ensure we meet our production goals.

These are some of the responsibilities of this role

• Promote a culture of safety and putting our customers first.
• Ensure that the work area is appropriately staffed for assigned shifts and that production, quality, and safety standards are maintained.
• Provide coaching and training to assigned employees on department processes and systems.
• Create a team environment for our employees through motivation, candid feedback, positive feedback, and consistent communication.
• Communicate effectively across departments within DC to achieve daily operational goals.
• Ensure housekeeping standards are met on a daily basis.
• Keep the leadership team advised of the progress of your department regularly.
• Prepare and conduct reviews for your team and provide corrective actions as appropriate.
• Maintain daily timekeeping.

This is what experience you should have

• High school diploma or equivalent
• A minimum of 2 - 3 years of supervisory/management experience in a distribution or production environment
• Must be flexible to work multi-shifts in a fast-paced production environment
• Having great communication and interpersonal skills is key for all positions, as well as strong planning and organization skills
• Any MS Office Suite experience is a plus
