Lead Person

Job Summary:  The Shipping Lead is responsible for overseeing work orders and daily loads and shipments intercompany and externally. This candidate will ensure efficient operations in shipping and receiving while maintaining a high level of accuracy to meet customer demand.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Use work orders to pull orders to stage and ship of orders. 
• Complete load sheets for all outbound customer shipments.
• Check drivers in and assign doors. 
• Ensure all paperwork is signed and accurate before turning in to customer service. 
• Scan all paperwork and keep in orderly fashion on the computer. 
• Use RF Smart to pick customers sales orders. 
• Ensure all forklift operators are using RF smart to ship transfer orders to other locations
• Communicate in a timely fashion the status of orders or any pertinent information to appropriate management and team members as needed.     
• Fill out dock audits or ensure operators are filling them out.
• Scan and email all dock audit forms to quality manager. 
• Fill out trailer inspection forms .
• Scan and email all trailer inspection forms to shipping coordinator. 
• Ensure all inbound shipments are distributed daily.
• Ensure all receiving paperwork is assigned, printed name, and date before scanning to appropriate distribution list. 
• Ensure efficient operation of shipping and receiving product to customer while maintaining a high level of accuracy. 
• Maintain excellent housekeeping practices in shipping area. 
• Practice proper safety techniques. 
• Complete general area maintenance duties on equipment as assigned. This may include help from the maintenance department when necessary. 
• Follow all procedures and guidelines. 
• Perform other duties as assigned and/or requested. 

Education:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Minimum of 24 months of previous production work experience in a manufacturing/shipping setting.

Experience:

• Maintenance Technician experience
