Valiant has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Utilities Engineer supporting the Defense Threat Reduction Agency’s (DTRA) Vulnerability Assessments program. The Vulnerability Assessments program conducts objective, technically proficient, and relevant vulnerability assessments of key infrastructures, to identify risks to defense critical missions that could be exploited well below the level of armed conflict by state or non-state threat networks or could be significantly impacted by natural or accidental hazardous events. Components of these assessments include examining physical security, telecommunications, information operations, structural protection, utility subsystem, emergency management and response, WMD protection, and electromagnetic protection. The Senior Utilities Engineer conducts assessments pertaining to utility-related vulnerabilities.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct assessments of all aspects of utility-related vulnerabilities.
- Increase a customer’s awareness of potential vulnerabilities and impacts of utilities on mission execution capability.
- Provide recommendations to mitigate or eliminate identified vulnerabilities.
