SUMMARY
Full time position working the front desk in a busy primary care clinic Monday through Friday. There are currently 3 shifts: 7:30am to 4:30pm, 7:45am-4:45pm and 8:00am-to close (usually 5:15pm). Autumn Road Family Practice is looking for an experienced medical receptionist with several years of experience. The position requires multi-tasking abilities and works well as part of a team. The candidate will cross-train in the Call Center to cover when necessary. Experience is a plus, but not required with working medical in-coming calls to screen for prioritizing needs, schedule appointments, route calls appropriately and answer general questions is a plus; however, training for additional coverage in these areas are part of the overall job responsibilities.
REQUIREMENTS:
a. Experience with computer data entry, insurance eligibility and verification, and patient balance and copay collection.
b. Must understand primary, secondary and tertiary insurance placements.
c. Must be able to communicate clearly to aid patients through the check-in/out process.
d. Must have attention to detail and organizational skills. Both are very crucial in this roll.
e. Experience working in a medical based platform in a medical office setting.
f. Adherence to laws and best practices regarding hipaa, personal health information etc.
SKILLS:
a. Experience working in Athena (is a plus, but not a requirement)
b. Excellent knowledge of MS Office (particularly Excel) and EHR software
c. Proficiency in English
d. Ability to multi-task
e. Results-driven
f. High degree of attention to detail, dependability and trustworthiness
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:
a. High School Diploma
b. Associates Degree is preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $17.50 per hour
