Company Background: Our client, a major employer in the area, is looking for a Paint Seibi Technician to be part of its team in its North American operations.
Description: Who we're looking for
- Client's NA Paint Production Engineering Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Paint Seibi Technician.
- The primary responsibility of this role is to Program paint and plastic robots to meet Client and Lexus Quality standards.
- Reporting to the Paint Production Engineering Regional Manager, the person in this role will support the Paint department's objective to create the highest quality at the lowest cost.
What you'll be doing
- Manage operation/function. (What will be the key operational/functional responsibility)
- Offline simulations / online programming (Carrot 3 and Catia), Quality Adjust for Topcoat, Under body and Plastics shop, Equipment confirmations
- Lead / manage, Create schedules, Manage schedules, Create status reports
- Lead / Communicate with Paint pilot members
- Manage processes, Program Topcoat robots, Program UBC robots
- Program Plastics robots, Run quality trials through above process
- Resolve problems, Trouble shoot Paint process including robot programs
- Resolve conflict in job scope and design
Requirements: What you bring
- 3 years of Paint Robot, Material application and Quality measurement Or 1 years of paint Seibi experience
- 3 Kawasaki and Fanuc Robot programming experience
- Quality instruments experience
- Knowledge of Client Quality Standards
- Able to use Microsoft Office
- Able to communicate across multiple platforms
- Able to work weekends and holidays
- Able to travel to client MS (50% travel)
- Able to travel to other Client facilities (10% travel)
- Able to travel internationally
What you may bring
- 2- or 4-year technical degree
- PLC programming experience
- PLC/Controls experience
- Digital engineering experience
- Simulation software experience.
