Full Stack .NET C# Software Engineer II (Remote)

Reporting to the Manager, Software Engineering, the Full Stack .NET C# Software Engineer II is responsible for the development, unit testing and maintenance of internally developed applications for Availity’s Essentials Pro revenue cycle management suite. This full stack role will be more heavily back end weighted and we anticipate the breakdown to be ~70% back end development with ~30% front end development. Location: Remote US – Eastern/Central Time Zones Preferred Why work on this team: This is a great opportunity to get your foot in the door at Availity and be mentored by a highly tenured team and manager You will gain exposure to AWS as Availity continues our cloud migration What you will be doing: On a team with 3 other dedicated software engineers Working in a full stack environment where the ratio will be determined by project work – we anticipate ~70% back end with ~30% front end Participating in daily standups at 9:15am ET Solving healthcare problems & improving processes Developing features for Availity’s Revenue Cycle Management products & services Implementing a backlog of items to fulfill a focused roadmap Working on a team following Agile Scrum principles Incorporating development best practices Having the opportunity to work full stack on front-end UI and/or backend processing Using such technologies as .NET, JavaScript, Angular.js, & Oracle Applying micro-service architectures Hosting & consuming RESTful APIs Ensuring your code is efficient, optimized, and performant Collaborating on programming or development standards Maintaining technical debt and applying security principles Reviewing the code of others while receiving feedback to ensure code quality Innovating with ideas and products to the organization Performing unit testing and complex debugging to ensure quality Learning new things & sharing your knowledge with others Requirements: 2 years of progressive work experience designing & developing solutions for business initiatives Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent Ability to Leverage the following languages & frameworks: .NET C# Javascript JQuery Angular.js HTML/CSS Bootstrap PL/SQL Database Design (Oracle & MySQL) Jenkins Git Works with RESTful APIs and web services Designs using micro-service architecture Applies Object Oriented Design (OOD) principles Understands database design principles & query language Implements code-based unit tests Writes technical documentation Demonstrates development best practices Takes ownership of the problem AWS or other cloud service provider experience is a plus Familiarity/Experience with the following is a plus .NET Core Java React.js Cucumber ANSI X12 AWS - Kinesis, Firehose, Redshift Knowledge of tools Resharper and NCrunch is a plus Worked in an Agile development environment is a plus Knowledge of the healthcare industry is a plus Availity culture and benefits: Availity is a certified “Great Place to Work”, a “Best Workplaces for Technology Companies”, a “Best Workplaces for Women” and a “Best Workplaces for Millennials”!
