What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Planner position at Avalign?
Summary:
We are looking to hire an experienced production planner to help us continue to grow. The production planner will organize production according to customer demand. The goal of the production planner is ensured that product is produced on time per the acknowledged date and to help communicate with the customer.
Duties/Responsibilities:
§ Plan/Schedule customer orders by reviewing the demand against available capacity on constraint work centers.
§ Maintain/update delivery dates of customer orders based on production status and available capacity
§ Customer service interface for expediting, availability checking and schedule status.
§ Work with Outside Service Providers to monitor/update delivery schedules and coordinate expediting requests
§ Monitors multiple customer specific vendor managed inventory programs to ensure accurate production quantities are in process to meet forecast.
§ Coordinates monthly customer forecasting process for site, to support capacity planning, production planning, and material planning activities
§ Support production Schedulers to establish daily/weekly production plans
§ Expedites orders when required to hit customer launches or labs.
§ Identify and resolve problems related to inventory
§ Manages projects related to planning/scheduling

Education and/or Experience:
§ High School Diploma or GED
§ 3-5 years scheduling/manufacturing experience
Technical certifications such as APICS Certification preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40,357.00 - $75,000.00 per year
