Job Posting for Customer Service Representative at Avalon Risk Management
Avalon Risk Management, a national insurance broker specializing in the international transportation industry, is looking for a full time highly motivated self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit. You must have at least 2 years’ customer service experience in an office environment to provide support to our Account Managers and Account Executive team. We prefer candidates with some college-level coursework, especially with a financial business focus or math-related courses. Position entails:
- Support our Account Managers and assist in servicing our existing clients.
- Assist with marketing submissions, giving shipment-specific insurance quotations, and preparing proposals.
- Answer policy questions, update account changes, assist with premium collections, fielding phone calls, and more.
- Basic working knowledge of Applied EPIC would be ideal along with excellent Word and Excel skills.
This role will expose you to our clients, the importing/exporting industry and the various international programs we manage. Candidates must demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills. This position will require a strong work ethic, excellent attention to detail, and flexibility. To succeed in this position, you must possess strong organizational skills, the ability to work with a team or independently, and excellent computer skills. We prefer candidates to have an active CA Property & Casualty license or be willing to obtain one within their first six months (at Avalon’s expense). Successful candidates will need to complete a background check and pre-employment drug screening.
