Are you a skilled and meticulous Payroll and Benefits Specialist looking for a engaging role in a dynamic organization? We are seeking an individual to join our HR team as a Payroll and Benefits Specialist. In this pivotal position, you will leverage your expertise to perform payroll processing, administer comprehensive benefits programs, and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process biweekly payroll with utmost accuracy
  • Implement, maintain, and optimize payroll processing systems to ensure efficiency and reliability
  • Manage accurate and timely processing of payroll updates, ensuring data integrity
  • Prepare and maintain comprehensive payroll records and reports for auditing and analysis
  • Troubleshoot complex payroll and benefits-related concerns in collaboration with vendors
  • Complete and file quarterly and annual payroll taxes with precision and timeliness
  • Play a key role in open enrollment, benefits inquiries, COBRA administration, and ACA reporting
  • Facilitate accurate and timely delivery of employer contributions and employee payroll deductions
  • Complete the annual 401k audit in collaboration with leadership
  • Provide guidance to employees on benefits-related changes and developments
  • Ensure strict compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws
  • Facilitate and oversee internal audits for HRIS system, benefits, and payroll administration
  • Stay abreast of the latest trends and best practices in payroll and benefits administration

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or related field
  • 3 years of experience in payroll and benefits administration
  • Experience with UKG HRIS, highly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of payroll processing systems and benefits administration
  • Exceptional organizational skills and keen attention to detail
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems
  • Deep understanding of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams
  • Proven ability to handle sensitive information with the highest level of discretion and confidentiality
