Responsibilities
- Perform duties encompassing receiving, storing, dispersing, shipping, delivering and the pre-assembly, pre-loading and kitting of material or tools.
- Assist the Logistics Tool Repairer in inventorying and disbursing tools and in conducting associated transactions, as required.
- Be alert to and take appropriate action on matters concerning shortages/overages/damaged goods and material replenishment including ordering (to include the use of P-Cards), expediting and making substitutions.
- Operate material handling equipment and vehicles including boom equipped vehicles.
- Assist or conduct physical inventories to Systems of Record, perform associated transactions and maintain storeroom records.
- Participate in daily activities involving the Hazardous Waste Management System including preparing documents, handling transactions and arranging related pick-up and delivery.
- Participate in related activities as a team member.
Skills and Requirements
- Average physical effort in handling items by various size and weight up to 60 lbs.
- Occasionally required to do heavy lifting and work in strained positions.
- Capability of working at elevated heights up to 28 ft in the warehouse environment
- Moderate physical demand: effort to drive vehicles, operate equipment, and to handle tools, materials and equipment varying in size and weight
- Continue mental and visual attention to carry out instructions, and perform duties efficiently
- Outdoor work in all kinds of weather from moderate to extended timeframes
- Willingness to work overtime as necessary to perform business needs
- Must be available to work storm and other emergency situations in order to support restoration duties
- Judgement is required to interpret and carry out instructions under minimum supervision
- Care and dependability to perform job duties efficiently
Education
- Able to read, write, use basic arithmetic, compute and apply simple formulas, understand charts, graphs, blueprints, use adjustable measuring devices, and be computer literate.
- Must obtain and maintain First Aid & CPR Certifications
- Must Possess a valid High school or equivalency Diploma
- Must possess a valid CT Driver’s License
- Must obtain and maintain a CT Class B License with Haz Mat endorsement.
Avangrid employees may be assigned a system emergency role and in the event of a system emergency, may be required to work outside of their regular schedule/job duties. This is applicable to employees that will work in Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, and New York within AVANGRD Network and Corporate functions. This does not include those that will work for Avangrid Renewables
Salary : $40,200 - $51,000
