We are looking for an awesome Quality Assurance Engineer to provide thorough and thoughtful testing of the various pieces of our systems, including the customer facing portals, internal tools, as well as the many APIs and integration points we provide. We monitor alarms (security, fire, medical, environmental, and more) all across the nation for over 1 million subscribers and are growing rapidly. In this role we are looking for an engineer with strong technical skills in MSSQL and Rest API’s as well as the ability to document test plans and test cases. In this role you will conduct a wide range of quality control tests both using manual exploratory testing methods as well as writing end to end automated tests.

What You'll Do:

• Review specification documents and develop Test plans/Test cases  

• Adhere to quality standards when testing and analyzing 

• Recognize and communicate with the team all potential issues or oversites with functional or technical behavior 

• Troubleshoot escalated production issues 

• Document test results in a detailed, professional manner that can be used as a historical reference 

• Write automated test code that will test the applications from end to end 

• Apply technical knowledge, analysis skills and judgment to identify issues, their root cause and opportunities for innovation and automation 

• Enter defects into the tracking system  

• Verify defect solutions as they are completed  

• Conduct exploratory testing to evaluate robustness and functionality of platform 

• Ensure software is updated with latest features 

Skills Needed:

• Experience with test case repository tools (Azure Devops preferred) 

• Knowledge of QA methodology and working in an Agile environment 

• Quality Assurance/Testing experience/Test Management/Test Plan Creation/Test Lifecycle  

• Experience with SQL databases (MSSQL preferred) 

• Experience with Selenium Web Driver 

• Experience with C# and .NET 

• Experience in testing systems for scalability, fault tolerance, load, and other operations areas. 

• Experience testing applications in the cloud (AWS or Azure) 

• Experience in testing API’s, restful web services, and web/rich client applications. 

• Experience in testing mobile native applications
