Overview
We are seeking a skilled Drafter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience with AutoCAD software or EPlan P8 and a background in electrical engineering or automation control system design.
Responsibilities
- Using AutoCAD Electrical or EPlan, create detailed electrical assembly drawings, diagrams, and schematics for industrial control panels.
- Ability to meet engineering's unique specifications based on customer job
- Must be able to interpret and implement UL508A standards during design.
- Knowledgeable of electrical engineering theories and principles
- Collaborate with engineers and project managers to understand project requirements.
- Designing custom industrial control panels and collaborating with the engineering team to identify necessary electrical, power, and control components.
- Able to layout Electrical control Panels appropriately for spacing and perform heat calculation.
- Create accurate Bill of Materials for each drawing to be used by purchasing
- Create and maintain up-to-date parts list for reference
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in drafting technical drawings
Requirements
- AAS in Drafting/Design (Electrical Drafting/Design preferred)
- 3 years of AutoCAD Electrical or EPlan P8 experience
- Knowledge of UL508 standards a plus
- Basic knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, and Instrumentation
- MUST BE Proficient with AutoCAD Electrical or EPlan P8
- Proficient with MS Office products (Word, Excel, Office)
