Job Profile and Description
The Product Implementation Department works directly with the Product Managers to create and maintain product (hotels, cruises, tours, transfers, etc.). This includes but is not limited to loading the contracted rates into Avanti’s proprietary software, maintaining accurate inventory through coordination with our suppliers, and creating and continually updating product information pages. This job requires the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and quickly and accurately input data.
The Product Implementation Specialist possesses a thorough understanding of Avanti products, procedures, and suppliers. It is essential for the Product Implementation Specialist to be a team-player, work efficiently, be detail-oriented, and have excellent communication skills to succeed in this fast-paced work-environment.
This Full-Time position is eligible for participation in a comprehensive company benefits & perks program. Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Create and update product information pages utilizing various resources
- Maintain product accuracy by reviewing information and responding to other departments inquiries
- Support the Product Managers in creating and implementing new products
- Input detailed contracts accurately and efficiently into a database
- Work with various suppliers to manage live inventory
- Assist the Product Managers in processing special product requests
Requirements, Skills & Experience
- Proficiency in proprietary Company software (TourGate), Windows 10, Microsoft Suite and general internet skills
- Knowledge of Avanti products and destinations
- Accurate keyboard and 10-key skills
- Highly efficient work ethic with an accurate, strong attention to detail
- Critical and creative thinking with excellent memory skills
- Ability to effectively identify and solve problems as they occur
- Ability to build and foster positive relationships
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Willingness to work overtime hours as needed
Education and Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-5 years of related clerical or data entry experience
- 1-year minimum employment with Avanti Destinations preferred.
- Proven record of dependability and attendance
Physical Activities and Requirements
- FINGER DEXTERITY: Using primarily just the fingers to make small movements such as typing, picking up small objects, or pinching fingers together.
- TALKING: Especially where one must frequently convey detailed or important instructions or ideas accurately, loudly, or quickly.
- AVERAGE HEARING: Able to hear average or normal conversations and receive ordinary information.
- AVERAGE VISUAL ABILITIES: Average, ordinary, visual acuity necessary to prepare or inspect documents or products or operate machinery (copy machine, keyboard, etc.).
- PHYSICAL STRENGTH: Sedentary work; sitting most of the time. Exerts up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally.
Mental Activities and Requirements
- REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved instructions and to deal with problems involving a few variables.
- MATHEMATICS ABILITY: Ability to perform very basic math skills including adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing two-digit numbers; the four basic arithmetic operations with money.
- LANGUAGE ABILITY: Ability to use passive vocabulary of 5,000-6,000 words; read at a slow rate; and define unfamiliar words in dictionaries for meaning, spelling, and pronunciation. Ability to write complex sentences, using proper punctuation and using adjectives and adverbs. Ability to communicate in complex sentences, using normal word order with present and past tense and good vocabulary.
