Position Overview:
The Director of People is accountable for the formalization and documented establishment of Human Resource, Recruiting, and Safety related strategy, execution, and related processes. The overall goal of this role is to help Avanti develop and care for our people, resulting in stronger more tenured teams capable of supporting company growth into the future.
The duties associated with this position include, but are not limited to the following:
- Partnering with relevant Avanti team managers (Executive, HR, Recruiting, Safety, Manufacturing, Order Fulfillment, Field Operations, and others) to develop and deploy human capital solutions aligned with the achievement of business objectives
- Develop formal definition of department(s) structure, positions, and related job descriptions
- Develop and leverage HR and Safety reporting and metrics; analyze data, diagnose issues, and recommend solutions to address business challenges
- Provide coaching and feedback to team members, enabling and empowering them to reach their full potential
- Development of recruitment strategic plan and related execution to ensure staffing levels meet and/or exceed forecasted production goals to include attraction, development, and engagement of team members
- Lead the development and implementation of safety programs, policies, and procedures
- Strategic identification, development and advancement of position, safety, and HR training curriculum and related implementation. Advancement of all Avanti Expert programs
- Formalization of wage analysis, position advancement opportunity, and cadence of related reviews.
- Continual focus on building an inclusive culture that celebrates Avanti wins, opportunities, and individual examples of success
- Identify legal requirements and government reporting regulations and ensure policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance with Federal and State laws.
Position Requirements:
Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in human resources or a business-related field. 5-7 years of related experience plus 3 years’ experience in a leadership role within human resources, manufacturing, or another business function or equivalent combination of education and experience.

- Knowledge of Mac OS operating system preferred
