In this role, you will report to the Territory Manager and will work closely with the Avantor's Lab and Production Services team of over 1,500 on- and off-site expert personnel - and our customers - to perform customized, mission-based lab work and research protocols that help return time back to science.
Shift: M-F 8:00 AM -4:30 PM

What we're looking for
Education: High School Diploma (or equivalent work experience) is required
Experience: Strongly prefer incumbent to have previous experience or education specifically related to chemical handling/management/hazardous goods
1-2 years of procurement, expediting, order management, and/or business experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong problem-solving skills and analytical skills
Solid written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently
Proven order management, forecasting knowledge, and/or expediting experience.

Avantor's Lab and Production Services team is a crucial part of the Avantor Services group serving over 500 customers in biopharma, pharmaceutical, educational, industrial, and high-tech industries with customizable, flexible solutions and end-to-end laboratory operations support. In this role you will:
Serve as a liaison between the customer and supplier for product sourcing.
Consult with customer production lines and manufacturing groups to understand demand forecasts; schedules material lots and reviews pricing.
Enter inventory, purchasing, and QC data into applicable Avantor and customer systems; assists in 3rd party vendor and item set-up.
Be responsible for standing order set-up and maintenance within Avantor and customer systems for planning.
Provides general Customer Service assistance: order processing, quotes, sample requests, returns, billing resolution.
Inspect incoming chemical packages and containers to ensure shipment arrived in good condition with no external orinternal damage.
Interface with customers' research and administrative staff to resolve chemical inventory compliance and safetyissues.
Verify chemical name/amount/quantity/expiration date /expiration date of containers within the package against thepacking slip.
Receive inbound chemicals, open packaging, input the CIS Pro software database, barcode the container,securely repackage chemical containers, prepare appropriate DOT documentation, and deliver to POU.
Maintain chemical management key performance indicators, incorporate process efficiencies and align with chemicalmanagement best demonstrated practices.
Segregates all incoming chemicals and those returned by scientists in the stockroom by hazard
class, DOT requirements, etc,Properly stage for disposal all expired and out of date chemicals; evaluate chemicals and
mixtures for quality and safety. Keeps record of disposals.Delivers and picks up stockroom orders to/from the labs.
Stores sensitive materials in Cold Storage Refrigerator.
Prepare appropriate shipping paperwork for requested chemicals to be delivered via inter-campus or to other global customer locations.

Pay Transparency:
The expected pre-tax pay for this position is
$49,200.00 - $81,900.00Actual pay may differ depending on relevant factors such as prior experience and geographic location.
