The Opportunity :

In this role, you will report to the onsite services supervisor and will work closely with the Avantor's Lab and Production Services professionals to serve our customers by performing customized, mission-based lab work and research protocols that help return time back to science.

Location : Irvine, CA

Shifts : Monday - Friday, 7 am - 3 : 30 pm

Hourly Rate : $ 22.00 - $24.00

What we're looking for

• Education : High school diploma or GED is required
• Experience : 2 - 4 years equivalent experience in material handling / inventory replenishment or customer service.
• Collaboration Tool : Microsoft Teams experience preferred
• Spill containment training, IATA, DOT, IMDG, and OSHA Right to Know a plus
• Cross-referencing and inside sales experience are a plus
• Forklift certification is a plus
• Must be able to lift 50lbs minimum
• Valid Driver's License and transportation

Avantor's Lab and Production Services team is a crucial part of the Avantor Services group serving over 500 customers in biopharma, pharmaceutical, educational, industrial, and high-tech industries with customizable, flexible solutions and end-to-end laboratory operations support.

In this role you will :

• Facilitate orders for consumable lab inventory replenishment; enter orders into computer systems, Web, etc.
• Receive inbound shipments from UPS, FedEx, and other common carriers and resolve all shipping errors.
• Manage customer's warehouse inventory including delivery product replenishment (may require driving between facilities to deliver product).
• Perform additional inventory management-related functions such as monitoring slow-moving and dead stock, conducting cycle counting and yearly inventories, reporting, etc.
• Handle shipping coordination activities such as shipping customer material (including hazardous materials), answering customer calls, handling routine issues, operating a hand jack and forklift, entering relevant shipping information into the computer system, and maintaining inspections on safety stations and equipment.
• Responsible for handling hazardous material and preparing shipping documentation and packaging requirements.

Interface directly with customer POC, responsible for managing consigned, non-consigned, customer-owned, and 3rd party inventory onsite at the customer location.

• Support multiple clients in a geographic area.
• Utilize VWR and basic computer systems (ESS, Citrix, Info Access, Intranet, StockTracker, ChemSW, and customer-specific ERP systems as well as shipping systems) in fulfillment of job duties.
• Document SPI Requests.

Pay Transparency :

The expected pre-tax pay for this position is

$47,000.00 - $77,000.00

Actual pay may differ depending on relevant factors such as prior experience and geographic location.
