The team
The Biomaterials Planning and Engineering Group supports Inventory Management, Planning, Scheduling and Sourcing to meet growth objectives of our Proprietary Research Products & Materials group.
What we're looking for
- Education: College degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Management or other applicable discipline; MBA desirable
- Experience: Procurement, minimum of 2 years with enterprise level planning; proficiency in MS office suite (Excel, Access, Word). Demonstrated ability to analyze large data sets; Strong system aptitude required. Understanding of forecast and replenishment theory, obtained through APICS or similar training coursework. Solid written and verbal communication skills, Strong analytical skills, solid knowledge and practical use of Forecasting and Inventory Planning tools; i.e. Logility, SAP, or equivalent also required
- Computer skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, CAD and/or Solid Works preferred.
- Must possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills, be detail oriented, and flexible to work on multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent oral and written skills
- Preferred Qualifications
- Global Supply Chain experience and APICS/CPIM certification preferred
- Experience in a matrix environment, APO or similar forecasting tools highly desirable
- Formal problem-solving training desirable, i.e. Six Sigma
How you will thrive and create an impact
The Supply Planner works independently under close supervision, plan, schedule and monitor the movement of material through the production cycle. Determine material requirements from engineering and production schedules. Coordinate the efficient movement of materials with purchasing, production and engineering. Develop specifications for new contract orders. Responsible for business system data input and integrity; creates and maintains bills of material and parts/commodities numbers in supply chain management or other enterprise-wide systems.
- Contribute to the Executive S&OP process, particularly the Supply Planning Step. Participate in the creation of an effective and appropriate Master Scheduling policy. Load the Master Schedule through the Planning Time Fence to the volume specified by the Production Plan from the Executive S&OP process. Identify, negotiate, and bring to resolution any demands/supply imbalances in both volume and mix.
- Review and manage change requests from customers, plants, and suppliers, making appropriate reschedules in accordance with the Master Schedule policy. Recognize the need to maintain stability in the Master Schedule, while being responsive to the needs of customers. Allow no past due's in the Master Schedule.
- Develop and maintain planning data, such as: Planning Bills of Material, Safety Stock, Lead Times, Lot Sizes, etc. Monitor forecast consumption and the proper use of Available-To-Promise. Inform the appropriate individuals per the Master Schedule policy, of any issues that cannot be handled within the framework of that policy.
- Further development of current system-based process (i.e., Demand Works, et.al.) and support transition to SAP. Development of long-range capacity planning processes Operations Research Support.

Pay Transparency:
The expected pre-tax pay for this position is
$63,000.00 - $105,000.00Actual pay may differ depending on relevant factors such as prior experience and geographic location.
