We are looking for a skilled Accounting Clerk to perform a variety of accounting, bookkeeping and financial tasks in an accurate, efficient and timely manner. An accounting clerk's responsibilities include performing day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying and recording accounts payable data, understanding and completing the invoicing processes for clients. You will run accounting software programs to process business transactions. Ultimately, a successful Accounting Clerk will ensure that the company’s daily accounting is accurate, prompt and provides support for the use of others here at AVCO.
Responsibilities
- Provide accounting and clerical support to the accounting department
- Accurately, prepare and maintain accounting documents and records
- Daily entering of key data and financial transactions in database
- Provide assistance and support to company personnel
- Research, track and restore accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies
- Inform management and compile reports/summaries on activity areas
- Function in accordance with established standards, procedures and applicable laws (W-9, sales tax, etc.)
- Constantly pursue development in job knowledge and skills

- Preferably accounting or bookkeeping experience or familiarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures
- Competency in Google Suite, databases and accounting software
