If you are a writing chameleon who is motivated to produce effective content to diverse stakeholders over a wide variety of channels, look no further! AVE is currently seeking a Brand Communication Associate to execute its brand reputation and brand omnichannel messaging strategies within existing and new communications and marketing tactics including but not limited to social media, email marketing, blogging, online reputation, print materials, and public relations.
This is an entry-level, collaborative content marketing role that will have exposure to all functions within a high-volume, hands-on Marketing & Communications team supporting a growing national portfolio of first-class residential communities.
In addition to the content creation, there is a high level of coordination to be expected to support all programs.
The Brand Communications Associate will report directly to the Brand Communications Manager with accountabilities to the Specialist, Social Media & Online Reputation.
Responsibilities:
Email Marketing: Resident Brand Communications
- Copywrite plain text and visual communications to support properties in delivering exceptional resident service
- Copywrite visual communications to support brand marketing campaigns
- Work in multiple systems and maintain lists/groups to effectively distribute timely communications based on audience
Brand Communications
- Copywrite and proof advertisements to support brand marketing plans
- Produce and update welcome communications for new residents
- Support Brand Communications Manager with survey initiatives
- Support with Brand Editorial Calendar campaigns
- Serve on 24/7 Resident Communication hotline to support property teams with emergency resident communications (team of 4)
Public Relations
- Research qualified media contacts and maintain brand media contact lists and outlet editorial calendar libraries
- Field/coordinate inbound opportunities with property teams
- Maintain media monitoring to ensure timely communication of earned media
- Maintain archive of earned media and build performance reports
- Work in Meltwater technology platform and maximize tool for business needs
Social Media
- Copywrite engaging captions and produce/post content to support organic and paid brand and property social media strategies
- Respond to all brand and property social media engagements within 24 business hours
- Produce and execute content to online directories including Google Business Profile and Apple Connect
- Support Specialist, Social Media & Online Reputation with social selling and social listening initiatives
Online Reputation
- Communicate favorable online reviews to property teams and brand leadership
- Respond to favorable online reviews within 24 business hours
- Support Specialist, Social Media & Online Reputation with online reputation strategy initiatives
Website
- Deliver and publish (6) local blog posts monthly to support SEO and content marketing strategies
- Publish earned media to support brand reputation strategy
Other
- Own project work in areas of focus
- Scope of responsibilities subject to change, and or expand, based on expansion of our portfolio
Requirements:
- B.S. in English, Writing or Communications
- Proven experience writing business communications (may include internships)
- Proficiency with social media platforms
- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal
- The ability to remain calm and perform under pressure - you will need to ask questions and provide guidance/solutions and send communications for property emergencies
- Tech savvy and quick to learn digital systems
- Strong project management, organization, and follow-up skills
