Schedule: Full Time (80 hours/2 weeks, 1.0 FTE)
Unit Supervisor in collaboration with the appropriate interdisciplinary team members, provides support services for physicians, nurses, and/or allied health providers at both hub and client sites. The unit supervisor will support or be responsible for multiple operational activities including client implementation, hub and site staff training, quality improvement activities, regulatory compliance and provider licensing, credentialing, and privileging. The supervisor will routinely work in the hub and will travel as necessary to support implementation and training activities.
Develops and maintains positive relationships with clients to 1) implement and refine care processes that improve quality and safety and 2) promote Avel referrals as appropriate.
Maintains current knowledge base of clinical concepts applicable to Critical Care.
Demonstrates initiative in applying knowledge relative to planning, deploying, and evaluating services.
Consults with the Nursing Manager and/or Medical Director in designing methods and procedures to improve the efficiency, productivity, and control of unit operations. Assists in establishing annual goals and objectives.
Coordinates the scheduling process and participates in staff assignments as needed (minimum one shift per week) to maintain program efficiency. Maintains flexibility and accepts shift work on weekends, off shifts, and holidays as needed.
May travel with eCare account executives, eCare nursing officer, and/or medical director for pre-implementation assessments, go-live support, and/or post-implementation discussions including utilization and program enhancements.
Assists with the establishment and maintenance of competency-based orientation and continuing education programs for clients and hub personnel. Coordinates, conducts and reports staff unit orientation and training activities.
Assists with developing and maintaining an effective network with community agencies, other hospitals and EMS personnel.
In coordination with the eCare nursing officer, Nurse Manager and/or medical director, and eCare quality manager, participates in the implementation of quality and performance improvement processes that enhance patient care and client satisfaction.
Assists with data collection and data entry as well as analysis, development, and evaluation of reports as requested.
Supports the eCare credentialing team to ensure timely completion of all licensing, credentialing, and privileging documentation.
