Job Summary The Cook is accountable for Provides quality and appetizing, prepared and presented menu items for residents, employee/visitor and administrative catered meals. Demonstrates stewardship in use of food and supplies.# Supports the hospital#s goal of excellence in patient care in a Christian, caring environment by facilitating positive employee relations and supporting department goals.# Provides exceptional care and service to patients, residents, guests and fellow employees at all times.# Performs all duties and responsibilities in such a way as to demonstrate and support the hospital#s Catholic heritage and Avera co-sponsorship values of hospitality, compassion, and stewardship.# Provides care/service in accordance with regulatory and accrediting agencies standards and the Ethical and Religious Directives for healthcare. Education and/or Experience High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred. One to three years food service/cooking related experience and/or training preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.# Intermediate food handling and sanitation skills. Institutional food production experience is preferred. Licensure/Certification/Registration ServSafe Certification preferred. Work Schedule Day/evening shift, e/o wknd/hol; 76hrs/2wks Pay The hourly range for this position is listed below.
